Scott carpenter update
May 1, 2013Hi Zak, Hope all is well at Lancaster. Just a quick update about how things have been going over here this season.
We finished the regular season of home and away games this weekend, and we managed to win all 22 of our games. It’s the first time any team has done that since 2006. We now have the 4 game play-off series from 1st-5th May in Sydney. The top 6 teams have qualified so it will be a tough week but hopefully we can keep up the good form we’ve shown so far. Our last 2 games were against 2nd place Fremantle and we won 11 7 and 8 5 in two very tough games. Unfortunately I have been a bit ill but decided to play anyway…the result was me being sick on poolside during both games, but at least we won! I finished the regular season with 61 goals in 2nd place in the Top Scorer’s list with my team mate, 3 time Olympian and Australia Captain Sam Mcgregor finishing top. I’m looking forward to the finals series, particularly because after it’s finished I will be able to get surgery on the snapped ligament in my right thumb which has been killing me all season. I am home in summer for my brother’s wedding so hopefully I will get chance to catch up with everyone when I’m home.
Cheers
Scott
