Lancaster v GB

January 6, 2013

Lancaster played a friendly game against the GB under 15 squad on Saturday at Lancaster University. The GB squad consisted of 25 players who  had been at Lancaster University since Thursday training together and preparing for the game.

Lancaster started off very strong as a team and continued this throughout the game!  Great play from all was given and a lot of counter attack and defence was going on in both teams. Some good individual play from several players must be highlighted, Owain who had been at the University with the GB players, stopped some great shots and several 1:0.  James Pratt in pit defence stopped the ball going in the pit and he even had the energy to counter attack and bag five goals. Zak Lamb read the game and was always one step ahead of everyone else. Overall everyone played well and some good potential was showing the the National later in the year.

The games were very close and the scores did not show the final outcome of the Lancaster team. Some bad finishes in attack, denied the team several goals. The two scored were GB 6 Lancaster 4 and GB 9 Lancaster 7.
