North West is the top region

The North West Youth team showed the rest of Great Britain that they are the best when it comes to water polo, as they join the North West junior team in winning the Inter regions competition. The North West A team coached by Shaun Ryder and Zak Sly worked well together to come out as the top team. The three North West team was made up of players from Lancaster City, City of Manchester and Carlisle.
The North west B team, which was coached by Gary Ellwood, was made up with players also from Lancaster City, City of Manchester and Carlisle and were mostly made up by 13 and 14 year old. They came last but showed some great strengths. These will be the players who will take over the A team in the 2011 youth boys Inter – regions championships. The team manager for both of the teams was Colin Walsh.
The competition was held at Liverpool and had a great atmosphere. Lancaster member Mike Hesketh was tournament director and Team Manger Duncan holmes was a table official with Lancaster brothers Tad Detko as delegate and Ryzh Detko as a referee.
