National Qualifiers; Rio and Robin

Lancaster City Swimming and Water Polo Club swimmers Robin Austin and Rio Quarry have recently produced some outstanding results and qualified for National level competitions.

Rio Quarry and Robin Austin Both swimmers had previously qualified for the regional championships held at the Manchester Aquatics Long Course pool. Robin produced a fantastic swim to win the silver medal in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 33.65 .

At the Level 1 long course event Manchester in May Rio won the bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke. 2 weeks later at the Rotherham level 1 long course event held at Sheffield, Robin won silver in the 100m breaststroke with Isaac Quarry (10) brilliant in his first level 1 competition winning bronze medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke races.

Robin has qualified for the British National finals to be held at Ponds Forge pool in Sheffield in the 50m breaststroke.

Both Rio and Robin qualified for the English national finals in Sheffield , Rio in the 50m and 100m breast stroke and Robin the 100m breaststroke.

This represents a fantastic achievement for the Club to produce 2 national standard swimmers and is a credit to the coaching available at the club.
