14th title just four games away
The men’s team are heading to Luton this weekend for two more games in their campaign to be crowned for their 14th British Water Polo League title.
With just four games left and the top of the table seeing Lancaster, Manchester and Cheltenham all on six points this will be a big weekend for the City side. On Saturday Lancaster take on Bristol Central, who yet have not won a game and on Sunday against Cheltenham, who will be without their main pit attacker Mark Banwell, due to a brutality ban from the previous weekend.
The Lancaster team have been training hard for this years title, with a three year gap of not winning the league. Lancaster are currently the most successful team in the British Water Polo league with 13 titles over the last 19 years.
